Fighting for our families, our values,
and a stronger future for our state.
Dan Witt is a man of deep roots and lifelong service to the Omaha community. With over 50 years of calling Omaha home, he has dedicated his career to engineering, education, and giving back — bringing a rare combination of technical expertise, teaching experience, and civic commitment to his campaign for State Legislature.
Dan spent 38 years at Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) in planning, operations, design, and management — giving him firsthand knowledge of energy infrastructure that few legislators can match. Alongside that career, he served 29 years as an Adjunct Mathematics Instructor at Metropolitan Community College, shaping the minds of countless Omaha students.
A commissioned officer through Army ROTC during the Vietnam era, Dan understands duty, discipline, and service to country. He also dedicated 8 years as a Special Needs Paraprofessional, served 10 years on the Mary Our Queen Catholic School Board, and has been a lifelong pro-life activist. Raised with family roots in agriculture, Dan understands what matters to Nebraska families.
With 38 years of experience at Omaha Public Power District, Dan brings unmatched expertise to energy policy. He will advocate for reliable, affordable, and responsible energy solutions that serve Nebraska families and businesses.
Dan firmly opposes gender ideology being imposed on minors in schools and public institutions. Children deserve to be protected, and parents — not government or activists — should guide their upbringing.
Nebraska taxpayers deserve a legislature that lives within its means. Dan will fight wasteful spending, demand accountability, and ensure every dollar is used wisely and effectively for the people it serves.
Dan is a committed pro-life advocate who believes in the dignity and sanctity of every human life from conception. He will stand firmly for policies that protect the unborn and support Nebraska families.
With deep agricultural roots, Dan understands how vital our land and water resources are to Nebraska's future. He supports careful, responsible stewardship that protects our natural heritage for generations to come.
